Leafs @ Predators - Oct. 10th, 8:00pm - LeafsTV, SN 590

Leafs are lucky to be ahead by 2 but I'll take it. Thanks Bernier!

Also, gotta love the obligatory fight when the Leafs are up by a pair. At least it was near the end of the period and may not have the same influence in terms of sparking the other team.

I'd be in favour of keeping Broll over Orr. He's never going to be confused with a scorer but he's actually got SOME hands as opposed to none.

I've also been pretty happy with him defensively. But it's a pipedream really.

See everyone.  That is why Bozak plays on the top line.  He's been losing faceoffs all game to set up that play.  Lose the draw, JVR hustles to steal the puck and Kessel scores.  Bozak is essential.

he did get an assist did he not?

No assist. He definitely lost the draw.

my bad...nashville announcers said he had one.

We have no business being up 2-0 in this game. But let's hope this continues.

If we can rope-a-dope our way to a playoff berth then I don't really care to be quite honest!

Well, that's because he's actually a hockey player, whereas Orr is more like they strapped skates on the guy who works the door at the bar.

28 career WHL points in 164 career games always makes me chuckle.

It's pretty crazy how much fighting is valued that someone who was that bad offensively in junior has had a fairly lengthy NHL career.  Even Laraque scored 19 goals one year for one example.

He was a pretty decent defensively player back in his Rangers days. I remember being envious of their Sjostrom-Betts-Orr line and hoped we could reunite them when Betts was a free agent. But now he just looks completely unmotivated until his gloves come off.

I sure miss the Leafs finishing their checks this year. Do they even hit anymore?

Komarov, Fraser, and Kulemin were ranked 1st, 2nd, and 5th respectively in hits on the team last season. Clarkson likely replaces most of Komarov's hits. Hopefully those guys help, but yeah it's not really something that's stood out this season. Although we're somehow ranked 2nd in the NHL in hits this season.
