Still early but right now Phaneuf's on pace for 50 points which, if he was to hit it, would be the first time since 2007-08.

And yet I feel like I've noticed him less and less this year. Which, I suppose, might be a good thing.

Lack of scoring was our biggest weakness the first 10 games along with shady goaltending. We deserved better in a lot of those games. We were sloppy tonight but again deserved better. Our record should be better than it is. I didn't expect much this season but besides Bernier shi**ing the bed on most nights I've been impressed what Babcock has done with a lot of gaping holes. We are heading in the right direction.

I think Bernier is the more talented goalie, but I'm starting to really think that the Leafs should be keeping Reimer around and seeing what kind of market there is for Bernier.

I'm not sure you are getting even a middle of the pack draft pick for present day Bernier, he's just lost at the moment.

We need to just get what we can for Bernier and move on.  He can't handle playing for a big market team like the Leafs!

Same here.

It's observer bias, but last year it was often a bad giveaway or slow footspeed that was making him stand out.  Being better defensively and scoring a bit more has been nice.

Bernier was awful on the 2nd and 4th goals.  Absolutely atrocious.  If I'm another team I'm not giving up more than a 5th for him.

100% agree.
