Well, I never thought that Gus starting if Reimer was healthy made a ton of sense so I'm glad to see Reimer get the start.

Yup I agree. When you're #1 is ready you him.

Same boat.  We said as much a couple days ago also.

Looking forward to the game  :D

#Leafs lines are different: Lupul-Bozak-Kessel, MacArthur-Connolly-Frattin Kulemin-Grabovski-CRABB, COLBORNE-Steckel-Dupuis ..

I like this actually.  It will be better when Armstrong comes back and the 3rd line is Kulemin - Grabovski - Armstrong.  A 3rd line that's really good defensively, but has more chance for offense than most 3rd lines in the league.  When Lombardi comes back eventually, he'll probably have Frattin's spot.

Colborne I'm assuming is simply keeping Brown's spot warm.

I agree 100%.  I like this lineup for now and can see Lombardi replacing Frattin, Armstrong replacing Crabb and Brown replacing Colborne.

Unfortunately there are no fighters on the team dressed.  I hope a "Cam Janssen" doesn't try something stupid...

Where is Frattin going to play?  And no more Ron Wilson lies on this...

I'm going to assume with Grabbo and Kulemin since MacArthur is banged up.

Oh yeah, forgot about MacArthur being out.  Damn.

Who gets sent down?

Consensus seems to be Joe Colborne. I imagine that's what they do, as he doesn't require waivers to go down and could use more ice time.

Colborne makes the most sense, depending how long MacArthur's out for. They'll probably place Mac the IR for now to avoid having to make a move until their next game (assuming he's not good to go tomorrow), but, with everyone else healthy, Colborne become the #4 centre, and the less time he plays on the wing, the better. He's probably back to the Marlies before Tuesday's game against the Canes.

I think so as well.

Minor amendment:
Bozak
Grabovski
Connolly
Steckel

Gives them four centers. Keeping Joe would be like keeping a 5th center.

I think they did because they wanted as much size as they could muster against Boston. Armstrong's grit helps to replace him in that respect.

All things considered, I thought he did fairly well while he was up.

The question is, does Kadri get the next callup?

Hard to argue against it at this point when he's starting to do the things the team wants out of him.  It will be interesting if Kadri and Colborne develop some chemistry though for a while...maybe we get to see a Kadri-Colborne-Frattin line some day.

markhmasters: Reimer says he's fairly sure he's starting Friday in Washington but will let Wilson confirm

markhmasters: Ron Wilson on Colby Armstrong: 'I'm pretty sure he'll be ready to play tomorrow night'

markhmasters: Ron Wilson says Clarke MacArthur will play tomorrow

markhmasters: Ron Wilson on who starts in goal tomorrow: 'I haven't decided yet'

ONLY if a winger is required otherwise leave him down.

Wow, a pretty healthy lineup. I'm interested in seeing line combos, but I'll take a stab.

Lupul-Bozak-Kessel
Kulemin-Grabovski-MacArthur
Armstrong-Connolly-Crabb
Frattin-Steckel-Dupuis
