Has 2 goals thru 2 periods tonight.  7 goals in 6 games.

In his AHL career he has 31 goals in 42 games. Going just from the playoffs to today he's scored 17 goals in 19 games.

Outstanding. Will be focussing in on him while watching tonight's game.

Ummmm, he is playing lights out right now. Definitely worthy of some discussion.

If him and Kadri were not scoring, we would not be able to withstand the loss of Lupul and Kessels offense thus far.

Creative player and I like how he skates. Always moving his feet. He has no doubt secured himself a spot in the top 9.

Hopefully he still plays a solid game when the offense dries up.

Haven't been as impressed with him defensively, but its very apparent that if he adds this element to his NHL game he has the chance to be a very complete player. His offensive instincts show elite level.

He should model his game on that of Ryan Kessler in Vancouver. Similar players offensively.

I'm not sure I'd say elite level just yet, but he's shown some good judgment so far this season and they seem to be going in.

Ugh.

Any insight as to how/when it happened?

They're speculating it may be a follow up procedure to the knee surgery he had last year.

McLennan says it's probably a "scope" where they go in and clean up some loose cartilage. As he said "it's probably a procedure to go in and clean up some of that garbage".

He seems to think it's routine and he'll be back in a week.

Carlyle saying a minimum of week for Frattin but sounds like it will be two or three. He had major surgery on that knee in off-season.

I hope all you people who were happy and cheering for Reimer and Frattin are satisfied!

If it is just a scope, as others are speculating, it's an out-patient procedure. Two weeks is quite possibly on the high end of things. It's at least a week, because that's minimum he'll have to be on the IR, but, guys have come back from scopes like this within 10 days.

Let's hope.  Missing Lupul, Reimer, Gunnarson, Frattin, the list is starting to pile up.  Wonder if another Marlie gets a shot now?  So many have taken the opportunity this year and run with it.

Some of my friends have had it done and they walk out of the hospital in 1-2 hours. Essentially, it's just the 3/8" incision that needs to "heal", but yeah, it's not serious.

Yeah. It really depends on how much work needs to be done inside.
