Edmonton is not beating Vancouver and it will be a tall order for the Leafs to go into Montreal and beat the Habs. Good chance the Isles beat the Jackets too. I am hoping for a 4th or 5th finish still with any luck.

So, instead they're in 5th with a possibility to finish 4th, which, regardless of the result last night, is the best case scenario since Montreal lost.

7th. Carolina holds the tie-breaker, so the Leafs can't pass them.

Sarge said:No, worse case is 7. I'm just not sure if the Anaheim case to 4 out of the equation.

If the Leafs lose in regulation, they will still be tied with Anaheim in ROW and points. Assuming Anaheim is still ahead in goal differential, the Leafs would be behind them in the standings. Since the Isles could also still win to pass the Leafs, the Leafs lowest finish is still 4th.
Sarge said:I think that's #5 locked up know... Unless I'm mistaken. So what's the deal with the lottery? How many can we move up/down?

They can move up a max of 4 (i.e., they could get the 1st ... 8.2% chance) and can only drop 1.
