HAHAHAHA

So far so good, now wed will big.... we need that game bad to hold off the caps from coming back. Going to wash up 3-1 we could afford to lose one there and bring it back for the kill. but I would hate to go back tied, that would make it very hard to watch.

With the Caps, we see how we stack up against the elite right away. Out in 4 or 5 games and it's really obvious there is a ways to go; take them to 6 or 7 games and maybe we've come even further than we thought.

Sort of like we did last time..?  :-\

I think we know where this team is. We've had 82 games to see what they are, and one playoff series won't teach us all that much more.

But the 4-7 the Leafs play against the Capitals will give them valuable experience -- probably more valuable than playing a team that's limped into the playoffs.

As long as they push as hard as they can and play to their skill level -- and hopefully find a way to impose their game on the Caps for some decent stretches -- I'll be happy to know that they're figuring out how to play playoff hockey.

3rd period of game three is a "decent stretch"

Taking his rightful place between Armstrong and Salming...

"He doesn't know it's a show... he thinks it's a damn fight! Now get in there and END THIS!"

Apollo Creed played by the Washington Capitals
Apollo's Trainer played by Barry Trotz
Rocky played by the Toronto Maple Leafs

Ummm, Apollo won that fight.  I'm not sure that's the analogy any Leafs fan is looking for.

I think it's a superb analogy ;)

Two people still have a shot at being correct.

I think there's something symbolic about how the post season mirrored the regular season with the excess of close OT and 1 goal games.

So close, but yet so far...
