Pre-Season: Leafs @ sens - Sept. 19, 7:30pm - TSN, TSN 1050

Also would like to see his contract.  Sign him now before his value continues to climb.  Eventually a NYI or some other random team will come knocking with this performance.

Other than Raymond and Kadri, are there any other standouts?

I missed the first. I thought JVR was very good in the second but hasn't really made an impact in the third. I actually had to double check Bolland's ice time to see if he played in the 2nd, but he has a goal in the 3rd and could have had two more on the shift after that. Rielly's passing and skating has been as advertised. Clarkson's been making his presence felt between whistles but like his first game I've barely noticed him while the clocks going.

Admittedly I only watched a chunk of the 2nd and the last 5 mins, but I didn't see Rielly do anything special ? FWIW, which isn't much.  Raymond did look good in the time I watched.  McIntyre looks like a passable insurance policy.

Got a notification from the score that kadri left with a hand injury.  Was it just a shot off the hand?

Yep there's a clip on video center.  Palm is turned kind of towards the shot and looks it hits near the thumb.

You know what else doesn't look good is the way Bernier's leg gets awkwardly stuck under him during his sprawling save at the end of the 1st.

siegel is tweeting that he has an undisclosed injury that he suffered this morning but was still planning on playing the full game.  He took himself out of hte game after the first because he didn't feel good about the injury.

Each of the three games thus far, I've found Rielly to be underwhelming to start off but looks outstanding near the end of the game. You can tell his skating, puck handling and passing all have elite potential.

Knowing nothing about MacIntyre prior to his two games, I've come away impressed by him. Nice to see.

Maybe I'm not watching closely enough, but neither Ashton nor Colborne look to be making much of an impact.

For a couple of guys on the bubble, they're not playing like it.

I'm just not seeing what there is to like about Colborne.  Three years in a row of similar 40 point production in the AHL.  He's decent defensively but not amazing at it.  He has great size, but doesn't use it near enough.  I feel like if he was 5'11" that we wouldn't even be talking about him, let alone discussing a roster spot.

I think Mason Raymond has outplayed them both for a spot on the team.

That being said, I imagine one of them still makes it as the 13th forward...
