My huge gripe is that getting leafs games in the states has been so much harder since the new ESPN deal. I buy the ESPN+ package exclusively for Leafs hockey.  But there seem to be so many more games now that I can?t get than there used to be. I would pay so much more money if they would just give me a reliable, consistent place to go to watch every single game. But there seems no way for me to buy that service from the NHL. Just surprises me that I want to buy their entertainment service but they won?t sell it to me. Ug.

I see we are in mid season selectively call crosschecks mode from the refs already.  Ben Chiarot has done it 2-3 times already with zero calls.  Leafs have taken two of them
 
Nylander had set up a couple of clean looks for his teammates on the PK (of course they shanked it each time)

It's like that guy thought Bertuzzi still played for the Wings
 
Knies will learn this, but his relentless forechecking puts him in a vulnerable position in terms of energy levels for that shift. He couldn?t capitalize on a turnover and he struggled to help on defensive coverage.

The refs are just killing him. First call was a nothing. Second call was iffy. A dive here for the Penalty hattie.

We do have him to thank for getting to see Minten-Knies wreck on the PK

He gets the job done but I'm still skeptical of him being your #1 guy. Same issues as last year always swimming. I feel more confident with Woll.

Minten would probably benefit from more seasoning in the long run but I wish we had the cap space to not have to demote him
