Minten would probably benefit from more seasoning in the long run but I wish we had the cap space to not have to demote him
He can stay but moves will have to be made. Gambrell, Timmins to LTIR. Robertson, Jones, Benoit, Holmberg, McMann  to the Marlies and same with Gregor if they sign him. 20 man roster.

Anyone have a reliable stream?

I had to go through onhockey.tv

Thanks for trying? I?m in the US. For whatever reason, link doesn?t seem to work.

https://nhlwebcast.com/toronto-maple-leafs-live/ Try link 4. Lots of ads to click out of though

Awesome. Thanks a bunch.

My huge gripe is that getting leafs games in the states has been so much harder since the new ESPN deal. I buy the ESPN+ package exclusively for Leafs hockey.  But there seem to be so many more games now that I can?t get than there used to be. I would pay so much more money if they would just give me a reliable, consistent place to go to watch every single game. But there seems no way for me to buy that service from the NHL. Just surprises me that I want to buy their entertainment service but they won?t sell it to me. Ug.

Amen, brother.  I am in the same exact boat. I WANT to pay for a package of every Leafs game.  Why can't it be offered?  They have an international following, it should be possible from the US.

I've just paid US$99 for access to every NHL game here in the UK on NHL TV.

But I think we have the same problem when it comes to sport here - I'd gladly pay a similar amount (or more) to access all the Newcastle United games as you can over in the USA/Canada/New Zealand etc, but there's no such (legal) way to do so. Which I think it short sighted.

Heck they don't even make this very easy in Canada, and if you live in the GTA and cut cable it's very, very pricey. I would need to buy the standard Sportsnet+ package at $180 a year just for the games on SN, and then also pay TSN $20 a month for their games. That's over $300 a season. Alternatively Sportsnet+ Premium, which has a regular price of $250 annually, gets me access to all Leafs games but the TSN ones are blacked out unless I use a vpn to change my location (which is what I do).

It?s pretty discouraging when you have to have a ton of disposable income and pay an extraordinary amount for programming and channels you won?t even use in order to pay extra for a sports package just to watch all the Maple Leaf hockey games in Canada.

I haven't found a clip of it yet, but there was a sequence in the third (NST says 10:24 of the 3rd) last night that was very amusing to me.

Two Leafs where scrambling around in the OZ putting some ineffectual forechecking pressure on Detroit's regroup after a turnover and they were on the verge of breaking out over the blueline in numbers when Nylander, just standing there at the blueline right wall, yoinks the puck off the carrier's stick and restarts the attack.

How is the streaming performance over VPN? Obviously that depends on the VPN service/server but do you find it tolerable?

Thinking about a future world where our PK units are: Matthews-Marner, Cowan-Nylander, Knies-Minten

I don't really notice any difference between the Sportsnet broadcasts and the TSN broadcasts that require me to use a VPN. Neither streams in super high definition quality to begin with so you shouldn't need an insane internet connection for them.

Which VPN service are you using? I have both TSN and Sportsnet and would like to cancel my TSN as my only real use is the Leafs. (I guess there's the world juniors but I haven't paid much attention to that lately).

I use PrivadoVPN. Admittedly I don't know a ton about the different vpn services and don't use them for anything but this. I just tried Privado because it came bundled into another service I have but I used it all of last season and it's reliable and easy to use.

That's all I use either of Sportsnet & TSN for (Leafs & hockey). I have 300 mbps service verified by testing and still get some display issues with them. I'm out of the country for extended periods so I'm looking at alternatives.
