R1, G3: Bruins @ Maple Leafs - Apr. 24th, 7:00pm - SN, TSN 1050

Combination of solid PK for the Bruins combined with some poor passing, and a missed high sticking call on JT.

I think more of the latter. Playing not to make a mistake. Brutal.Leave the first unit on the bench.

Wow, Marchand butt-ends Bert, no call. Simpson went out of his way to not say "butt-end" but very clearly indicated it was the end of the stick that hit Bert.

Ratty with the shot to the head.

Leafs doing a good job winning puck battles in their own zone.

The only constant with these guys is the PP disappearing in the playoffs. Its extremely frustrating. Leafs get remotely close to normal success and a lot of their playoff history would be dramatically better.

They seem to have a very streaky PP. Very good during some parts of the season, slows down towards the end of the year and into the playoffs. A bit of a concern.

Last year the PP was 26% in the regular season and 25% in the playoffs.

Out of curiosity, what was the % in beating TB and then in R2?

Leafs have solved their toughness problem ? at least against the B's.  Maybe not so much Florida if it comes to that but that was a good shift by Reaves & Co.

Azzurri should be very pleased

At what. Only thing I liked about that period was some of the hitting. Rest was crap and Marner needs to sit guy plays totally scared.
