The only constant with these guys is the PP disappearing in the playoffs. Its extremely frustrating. Leafs get remotely close to normal success and a lot of their playoff history would be dramatically better.
Last year the PP was 26% in the regular season and 25% in the playoffs.

We don't expect them to score every team or even at 25% but they aren't even generating some good lucks. They all looked tentative on the PP and just kept making dumb decisions and passing. It was awful.

azzurri I think if you were coach you'd never be able to ice a team because you'd bench them all. ;)

I thought that was a decent period. Not too many chances, but not too many given up, either.

Let's see if the Leafs can pot a few in the 2nd.

Happy with that period overall. Stay out of the box and swarm Pastrnak. More pucks to the net and more screens.

Out of curiosity, what was the % in beating TB and then in R2?
Rd 2 they got 2 PP goals but it did drop down to 18%. Remember the Panthers turned into saints against the Leafs.

Ya typical Keefe. Marner looks like crap and has the most ice time. LOL.

Marner playing such a woe-is-me game?thinking about his future? Well and truly unable to handle physical play? Still injured?

The only positive is that it?s still early?.somewhat.

Did you like his game? I didn't watch much of game 2 and from what I read Mitch wasn't good yet Keefe praised him. Keefe's stubbornness is going to cost us. Enough with the BS. Move him down to the 3rd line. Poor decisions on the PP almost cost us a goal. Didn't generate anything, weak getting the puck out of our end late in the period. He is the guy that should be creating chances on the PP with his creativity and passing. Each year it's the same with him. He clearly can't cut playoff hockey. Unless that changes I wouldn't give him a penny more. Already overpaid.

Keefe isn?t going to publicly criticize any player - or he shouldn?t.

Not unless they do something really stupid. Comments about poor play are kept private.

You're welcome. And it's amazing. I think the Leafs simply don't dive enough. It's rare Matthews goes down. He usually tries to battle through whatever. Bruins have it figured out.

Not saying you criticize him. All I'm saying is why praise him when it's not deserving. Mitch's feelings going to get hurt?

They have to keep it simple. Way too many cross ice passes through the neutral zone getting picked off.
