35, 16 and 44 can go. Seen enough. Boosh was great. Keefe will be gone too. I doubt Bert is back.. Can't pay a guy 6 sheets for that.

McMann & Knies & Dewar helps with cheap LW depth. Robbie needs a centre to play with if we want to use him for his strengths, rather than trying to turn him into a feisty checker that?s too small. It will be an interesting offseason.
Totally agree.

I thought this was Knies' coming out party. Best player on the ice again and the series.
Shame the Leafs had some untimely injuries/illnesses  though but that's the way it goes.

Knies really came alive when he played opposite Nylander. It was a slog for him earlier in the series and at times in the regular season when trying to mesh with E-W play. Very promising player going forward.

The Leafs kind of deserved a better fate and also didn't.  They played great in Games 5-7.  They didn't play well enough across all of Games 1-4 and that's why we are here now. The Shanaplan is over.

Sammy wasn't the reason they lost tonight but he does this all the time.  Looks good but still has moments where he makes the wrong play.  But Woll is also completely unreliable.  You have to go into next season with Woll as the backup at best.

I'm done with Rielly.  He lost Pastrnak on the dump in.  He was not good this series and his defensive game is just not up to par.  I'm don't with Marner too.  Someone from the core needs to go and he was pretty invisible again.  The ankle sprain didn't help but I'm fine with moving him out and seeing something new with the roster makeup.

Keefe and the entire coaching staff need to go.  It's too bad because a year or two ago I would have liked to see if an in between coach from Babcock's psychological torture approach and Keefe's would have made a difference but it's too late for small changes.

The blueline needs to find guys who can move the puck up ice better so our offense doesn't dry up in the postseason.

It's going to take a while but should be an interesting and busy off-season.

There are still good pieces.  Knies looked great (though he did last postseason too).  Hopefully McMann can build off a coming out season and maybe Cowan or Minten fill NHL roles out of camp.  There will be money to play with although free agency seems kind of mediocre at first glance

McMann is another one who seems to have injury problems (a la Woll). If he could stay healthy he'd be a big piece.

I liked the toughness of the defense this post season but there is little to no offensive contribution. Have to find a better balance. I don't know about Liljegren. Feel like if you give up on him he'll eventually become a stud somewhere else. But I was worried every time he was on the ice tonight.

Glad I don't have to make any decisions about this team.

How long before Ovi got his CUP? Blowing it up and calling for blood too quickly has always been our downfall as fans. I'll stand by that, being guilty of it myself.

Core should stay. Coaching staff absolutely needs to change.

Moving one core player is hardly "blowing it up."

The team as it?s currently constructed is fatally flawed and I?ve been saying it for a few years now. Too much $$$ tied up in the ?core four? and not enough put into the blue line and between the pipes. The worst part about it is all the no-trade or no-movement clauses in the contracts. Hopefully they can convince either Tavares or Marner to move along because they need the money to upgrade the areas of the team they?ve been cheaping out on and with predictable results.

They've scored 2 or fewer in 13 of last 14 playoff games.

They need to shed Marner and ideally Tavares salary and become a deeper more well rounded team.

It's clear they core 4/5 concept is flawed with these specific players, the mix isn't right when it gets to crunch time.

3 years of Cowan and Minten on ELC's will be very helpful.

They need to shed some of the bottom of the lineup guys and make room for younger players with a higher ceiling and allow them the runway to develop towards that ceiling.

I'd be fine going with Woll, Hildeby and a veteran next season.

There is at least $25 million coming off the cap this summer from expiring contracts alone, shift Marner and that gives Treliving a lot of room to work.

The problem with the core is that we can?t afford to build a half decent blue line or goaltending tandem because they are sucking up all the $$$ and they can?t be moved. It?s a big problem

Marner really isn't an issue. If anything I'd move Tavares and name Matthews captain.

Whoever is managing the team needs to establish the way he wants the team to play (preferably a successful formula ? similar to games 5-7 but with a PP that works) and outfit the team with the coaching staff and personnel that can pull it off.

There?s one core member that can?t seem to play that way and he has value on the market, so that would help kickstart some changes.

Not as big as the media makes it out to be.

It took the Capitals 13 seasons to win a Cup.  They did a slower rebuild and didn't make the playoffs until year 3 with Ovechkin in the lineup.  They also advanced in the postseason 6 times before their Cup run although did have the Game 7 failure thing going on too.

We are sitting on 1/8.  We have reorganized the deck chairs a bunch of times.  It's time to put a new coat of paint on the shop

What playoffs have you been watching? Regular season stats are great but when you constantly shit the bed in the playoffs and disappear then time to move on. Matthews has shown me that at least he's willing to take a hit, give out a hit do the little things to win. He wasn't 100% that's too bad maybe Mitch wasn't either but Mitch has been a no show every year in the Playoffs. How long is enough is enough? His size compared to others doesn't help but he has shown repeatedly he isn't built for playoff hockey.

Been harping that for years and finally I think others are starting to see it as well. Hopefully upper management finally does.

I will disregard any quotes that begins with "what playoffs have you been watching?"
