Rick Nash to NYR

It'll be interesting to see how much they gave up. I imagine they may have been tempted to make a big move because of Philly/Minnesota.

If they gave up Kreider or McDonough I think this will be seen as pretty dicey on their part.

DarrenDreger: Will be multiple players involved in Nash trade to NYR. Contracts are being reviewed, etc. All to be done before trade call.

So, not quite official yet, but close.

DarrenDreger: Rick Nash trade to New York Rangers in process now. Details to follow.

I'm really interested to see what the CBJs will receive in return.  I think it will turn out to be substantially less than speculated.

I'm going to guess that Del Zotto and Dubinsky are part of the package.

It will be interesting to see who breaks, my guess is Howsen lowered the price.

I'm not so sure about that. It wouldn't surprise me if the prospect of Weber ending up in Philly made the Rangers motivated to make the deal.

So Krieder then?

Word was he was a deal breaker at the deadline, but, now, I don't know. My guess is, when it's all said and done, the impression will be that the Rangers gave up more than Nash will bring.

No need for a question mark. Dreger's solid on his info.

Even he acknowledged that it's not official yet - the trade call has not been made. It could still fall apart.

Well, Stepan isn't included. 5 pieces for Nash.

DarrenDreger: Columbus will get s pieces in return for Nash. Details to follow.

S pieces. They're getting S pieces!

Also, pieces is a funny looking word.

I actually don't mind that Nash ends up with the Rangers. He's not worth the cap hit - that in my mind hampers the Rangers longer term. But who knows - maybe he ends up being a beast for them, and I'll regret saying that...

DarrenDreger: Dubinsky, Erixson and 1st believed to be 3 of 4 pieces included in Nash trade.

That's already a lot. If Kreider/McDonaugh/Del Zotto is the other piece . . .

Poor Dreger uses a Blackberry and didn't hit ALT before hitting the key. I don't have a Blackberry anymore. What number is S?

That's...not that bad. Erixon's a good prospect but other than that...if that other piece isn't Krieder or McDonagh then that's a big time win.
