The score sucks, but I don't really get the overwhelming negativity tonight. For the first time in a while, I think the Leafs have been far and away the better team from the moment the puck dropped to start the game. Anderson (and the cross bar and bad ice) has kept Ottawa in the game. The Leafs' inability to finish over the last little while is concerning, but their overall play tonight? Not at all.

Ooooooohhhhh, someone got optimism for Christmas.

I agree, the puck has been bouncing around like crazy. JVR has 8 shots through two periods. Some of them are bound to go in.

Hmmm, that is problematic.

Ooooooohhhhh, someone was born with the ability to look on the bright side.

Better?

Nah.

But, really, basically every stat except the most important one is in the Leafs' favour tonight.

There is just no pleasing you.

If the Leafs played more games like this, but manage to finish their chances, I'd be very pleased.

Aside from Arizona, they haven't dominated anybody in 2 months.  They should have, tonight.  That's why people are frustrated.

And, the way I see it, other than on the scoreboard, they have dominated Ottawa tonight. The puck has been in the Ottawa end most of the night. Not much they can do about the other team's goaltender playing well or the puck not bouncing their way.
