Rielly's been the best Leafs d-man all night.  Like JVR's goal that one was deserved.

Aside from Arizona, they haven't dominated anybody in 2 months.  They should have, tonight.  That's why people are frustrated.

And, the way I see it, other than on the scoreboard, they have dominated Ottawa tonight. The puck has been in the Ottawa end most of the night. Not much they can do about the other team's goaltender playing well or the puck not bouncing their way.

Dominating means dominating on the scoreboard too.  You can always come up with excuses but a good team wouldn't be fighting for a point in this one.  Granted, Babcock's decisionmaking is holding the team back, no doubt about it.  He's been part of the problem.

Underrated on that Rielly goal was Hainsey breaking the ankles of the guy in his own zone, taking it all the way to the offensive zone and getting the puck to the net twice.

I think you have to account for puck luck. Dominating shot share and puck time and offensive zone heaviness doesn?t always result in winning on a game by game basis. Hot goalies make a huge difference. A puck hitting a post one inch in one direction changes everything.

Leafs do a lot of low-high plays ? winger retrieves dump in, bumps to defense man, and then he fires it on net right away for a scramble. Would be nice to get some more pucks across the royal road.
