Sharks @ Leafs - Dec. 3rd, 7:00pm - SN, TSN 1050

Well, considering the lack of depth at centre ( pushing minutes for the other lines ) and the fact that the Sharks 4th line was out, it wasn't a horrible idea...

I blame Holland

Obviously. I mean, he's only good enough to play on the 1st line when Bozak's out, and he's also one of the hardest working forwards in the defensive end, but, he doesn't deserve ice time. He should be a healthy scratch forever.

The 4th line noticeably better than the Leafs? They shouldn't get a defensive zone draw other than an icing. They're not good enough to defend even passably.

Are you talking about the goal in the second?

What's the deal with Gardiner? He seems to bobble the puck and fan on a lot of shots.  If he could just get his puck handling skills back to how they were last year...

Oh look, the 4th line is out again.

4th line responsible for a goal against late in the 2nd? Let's give them a shift early in the 3rd. They deserve it.

Wouldn't that be awesome if Nonis suddenly appeared at the bench and started strangling Carlyle....! Yee hah.

Yes. Assumed you were. If not my apologies.

Yeah, no I was talking about the shift in the third. I get that the choice in the second proved to be a bit of a stinker but Carlyle was probably banking on Smithson winning the draw and chewing some seconds, didn't count on them getting hemmed so badly and losing the change so completely.

I mentioned Rielly after it happened, just to distance myself from the Rob Ford crack cracks, he should have iced it and thrown it back into Carlyles lap, let him make the call on a timeout after a decision turned bad but I'm certainly not blaming him.

One of the guys on Sportsnet (not sure who) picked out Rielly, I don't think you can put any blame on him in that situation or certainly not single him out. I guess it just goes to show that even the Leafs players don't want to keep that 4th line out any longer than necessary that he wouldn't ice the puck  :D

Just got here ... and we're in it?  Didn't expect that.

Somewhat miraculously. The 1st period could have been a lot worse in terms of the score and the Leafs had a good 10-12 minutes in the 2nd, and here we are.

The following people need to not be members of the Leafs ASAP:

Randy Carlyle
Colton Orr
Frazer McLaren
Mark Fraser
Paul Ranger

In roughly that order, as well.

This, but I do think we could still use Orr or McLaren but not both. Sometimes a face does need punchin
