Stanley Cup Final: Tampa Bay Lightning (2) vs. Dallas Stars (3)

Well, it feels like Tampa's been the best team in the league for, like, 5 years so...I don't know. Who cares. What a joke of a season.

Well, I guess I'm happy that it's Luke Schenn: Stanley Cup Champion instead of Luke Schenn: Draft Bust. Always seemed like a good guy. Good on him.

Lol, that Scott Oake live thing with Point was cringe. Trying to make it about his height and his naysayers? Bizarre. Actually, wasn't it oake that did something ridiculous at the olympics and made an athlete cry?

Point had that "WTF is he talking about?" look in his eye. Oake couldn't have done a worse interview if he'd tried.

Yes, I think Luke's career could have been so much different (and probably a lot better) with proper development and more time. Unfortunately he never got that chance with us but he always seemed like such a nice guy. Good to see him get a chance like this and make good on it.

Luke had plenty of time with us to do his thing. He was here for 4 years. Problem for Luke was they changed the rules and the clutching and grabbing game went away. Luke was a victim of that change because he never had the foot speed.
Congrats to ex Leafs. Schenn, McElhinney and Carter Verhaeghe..

Didn't watch a second after the Leafs went out but glad to hear this.

But yeah, it's a joke.

Groundbreaking analysis here: Cup teams often have players they've drafted and signed.

Tampa?s Cup run (and eventual victory) is going to kill sooo many people

They're definitely going to have a parade in Florida aren't they?
It appears the fans want one but I don't see the team wanting to do it seeing they've been in a bubble for the last 60 days.

Barclay posted this dunk at 5:59am local time. So the question is did he wake up for this or had he not gone to bed yet?

I honestly don't understand why people feel it necessary to dunk all over the teams for this.  It's different from a usual run absolutely but we also have never had the opportunity to have teams come into the postseason not banged up because players had 3 months to rest up minor injuries or have guys recovery who otherwise wouldn't be playing.

You lose the benefit of home ice but outside of a handful of games everyone was playing on neutral ice so you didn't have the benefit of knowing board bounces better.  The lack of travel gets offset but the social isolation for me.

It should be an asterisk marked Stanley Cup because the COVID bubble is a unique situation but guys like Simmons and Cox who feel the need to constantly just be an ass over everything they report drives me nuts.
