He got him a guaranteed trip to the playoffs, pretty good gift.
That's a good point.

He was a decent bottom line player at best and I'm certain we have better players already on the team and with the Marlies.
If his skating was better he'd be a good bottom six guy because he seemed able to read the game pretty well, that's why he was somewhat effective on the PK.
Lasch is probably hoped to replace Deschamps offensive numbers from last season with the Marlies and the 7th is better than losing him for free on waivers.

There still a site like that?

Will Lasch even come to NA?
He appears to be playing in the SEL right now.

Here is the Leafs

It's apparent that's not going to happen, I think we'd all rather that, so Steckel was the odd man out.

Agreed. Terrible trade. Decent defensively and one of the best faceoff guys in the league. Fail, Nonis.
leafplasma said:Fact remains Steckel has regressed in the faceoff dept and he isn't worth the fourth pick anymore.

And he had 2 years left on his contract vs. being a pending UFA now.
leafplasma said:Lasch is an absolute non-asset though.

So true, never thought of that, we are lucky we got what we did. Lasch is an absolute non-asset though.
