The Trade Deadline

I was big on Stastny before, but this would be the second season in the row he finishes with disappointing numbers. And it's not like he's playing with scrubs really.

I'd kick the tires to see what Colorado was looking for, but I wouldn't pay anything ridiculous.

Yeah, I agree. I thought this guy was an 80 or 90-point player, but he's completely dropped off a cliff. Ryan O'Reilly looks to be the man in Colorado right now.

I really only have have one prediction for tomorrow... At some point, we'll see Burke address the media with his tie draped around his neck, looking like he just wrestled his lunch back from a mountain lion. I'm also predicting the sun will come out too, so...

Sportsnet reporting the Leafs and Sharks in it for Nash, with Lupul in the Leafs offer.

Can Nash play the left side?

Its his primary position.

Been wondering how things would work with Lupul & Nash on the left side... would be tricky to balance that out.  Maybe this is the answer?

Meh... rumors.

It's Sportsnet, so, it's fishy. Don't believe it.

Yeah, Eklund reported it from his dimly lit corner.

Or is that not happening this year?

Oh, I thought he mostly played the right wing... Interesting. It would be amazing if Burke could make it work, but I don't think he gets moved today, it's a lot of assets to give up at this point in the season. Would he be enough to change our fortunes this season, I doubt it.

Sportsnet said a Columbus radio station reported it as well. Who knows they could have HockeyBuzz going for their inside info.

Burke and Nonis just drove from the ACC to the MasterCard centre in a huge hurry.... all caught on camera OJ Simpson/Bronco style.

Uhmmmmmmm.

Nah I doubt he would change this year but if they can squeak into the playoffs I think it changes what happens then, and what happens in the next 4-5 years.

It gives the Leafs another core piece, changes the leadership a lot and I think makes it easier to fill in the rest of the lineup around the key pieces.  Would take huge pressure of Kessel.

Uhmmmmmmm.

Burke had to give the players being dealt a "You're dead to me" stare before finalizing.

EDIT:  And then they left again.

Actually or in jest.  It sounds absurd to have that kind of coverage, except I'm pretty sure there are 23 reporters performing illegal activities on the lives of Burke and Nonis at the moment.  Three reporters are detailing his sister and another four have been hiding in the ACC washrooms since last Tuesday.

Does that actually work?  I've been giving it to Wilson for two years ;)
