I lost my dog 18 months ago and haven't gotten over it... I said I'd never get another dog but that lasted only a couple of months. I don't think I could manage without one.

I know what you mean but I was pretty heartbroken at the time and didn't know if I could or would, still haven't. Funny thing happened, a 'friend' ( you'll see ) came over a couple months after and said he knew someone who had some kittens and were looking for homes, I said I wasn't really into it and he said that's ok she'll probably just drown them anyways... of course I was horrified by that but figured he was just messing with me. He showed up with this little beauty a week or so later and it set my world a little more right... she doesn't like dogs a whole lot so I've given in to both her wishes and my doubts, for now...

Based on the picture I would have named this cat Yoda because it looks like its using the force.

Went to Fargo, North Dakota on Thursday to experience my first Black Friday, and it was awesome, I had a lot of fun. We arrived in Fargo at 4pm, my cousin and Uncle got dropped off at Best Buy to wait in line (they were 50th in line) and it was a good idea they did that, because hours later the line exploded and by midnight at least 400 ppl were in line. The got a voucher for the laptop my cousin wanted around 10ish.

My aunt and Gma went to Target around 6pm and stood in line and me and my other cousin drove between the two locations bringing food, coffee, water, giving them breaks to warm up in the van, use the washroom.

Around 1130, we went back to Target and I got in line with my Aunt and my Gma went to the van, they allowed ppl into the store in groups of 30, wait 30 seconds then 30 more ppl, we were in the second group to go in and we had mapped out where the tvs were, we wanted, and I went right for them. Problem though, huge crowd that I couldnt get around, but then I saw a little path to the left of me around other tvs, snuck through there and right to the front of the crowd, snagged one TV, jumped up and saw my aunt and waved her over, grabbed another tv and pretty much laid on them to keep them safe til she got there.

barely a minute later a lady grabbed one and put it down by us and said she got the last one, there had to have been 50 tvs and they were gone in a matter of minutes, it was awesome, such a rush.

Got the 46" HDTV LCD Westinghouse for $298. I didn't really buy anything else except a Hurley zip up sweater and GTA IV for xbox and then 2 40's of Captain Morgans Spiced rum for $25 and 2 cartons of smokes at the border.

I am looking forward to going next year, doubt I'll do the wait in line thing though. My cousin got a $250 jacket from JC Penny for $60, what a deal, it is a really nice jacket too and I picked it out for her lol My other cousin got a Laptop for $178 I think it was, Lenovo brand, 2GB or ram, 250 GB hard drive, I am not really a fan of Lenovo, but he is only 10 and it should be fine for what he will do with it and also he saved up all year for this laptop doing chores and everything, he was pretty happy when he got it.

No incidents in the two stores we went too, everyone was friendly and talkative all night til the store opened, I was even doing coffee runs for ppl behind us in line lol and people in front of us ordered pizza and then started selling it by the slice, good idea, I may do that next year, they sold 7 pizzas in a matter of 30 minutes ($3 a slice or 2 slices for $5).

I've got to say, your entire post kind of sounds like hell on earth to me.

Ditto. Sounds like he had fun though. The thought of standing in line for deals on electronics and other stuff (no matter how good of a deal) is just about near the bottom of my list of desirable things to do.......and I'm poor.

That's why they created Cyber-Monday's....less trampling, but more maxing credit cards when you don't have the money and then complaining about how the economy is keeping you from paying your mortgage.

That's the first time I've heard the term Cyber Monday. and funny enough, right below your post was an advertisement for Cyber Monday at amazon.ca.

It's a nice buzz word, but I actually got a deal.  I've been eyeballing some earbuds for over a year now but never bought them because I didn't want to pay over $100, well behold FutureShop put the very earbuds I wanted on sale for 50% off today.  Thank you Cyber Monday.

Saw/felt my first plastic 100 dollar bill  yesterday... Weird.

they're purty but they're a pain in the rump too. The self scan units at work won't recognize them as real money and our cash office currency counter isn't calibrated for them either, which means I have to count all that money by hand. *sigh*
