Useless Thread

My buddy ran into Evander Kane and Big Buff last night at the airport, haha

Small city, not really a surprise to run into Jets from time to time I guess.

Popeyes seems like such a good idea for lunch until after I've eaten it..then I just feel sick to my stomach :( but the firecracker shrimp are sooo good!

That's like KFC.  I get a bucket of chicken about twice a year.  Seems like such a great idea at the time, but then ya feel the globs of fat pulsing through your arteries hours afterward...

I feel that way with most fast food places, it sounds like a good quick meal, but after I feel like crap, the worst is McDonalds, where it starts before I even leave the resteraunt.

I merely drive by a McDonalds and I have to take a dump.
Despite the obvious "over sharing" moment, that made me laugh out loud at work. :o

According to a research report from University of Lund (Sweden) Several cases of type-1 diabetes could be caused by virus infections.

Gothenburg? That's right near the drunk moose!

Stebro, I wanted to ask you if, in Sweden, they call a "moose" a "Swedish Elk"?

There was a new bit this week, about a moose that had eaten fremented apples, and got stuck in a tree, however, the BBC insist on calling the animal a "Swedish Elk". I'd never heard that name before, and wondered if it's actually what it's referred to there.

Just curious.  :)

So I tried paddle-boarding for the first time this weekend. OMG! I need to get in to this HARD! Anyone try this yet? It's basically like a surf board but you propel yourself with an upright paddle. I couldn't belive the amount of tranquility, zen (whatever you want to call it) I got out of this. Moreover, its a really good work-out. I'm soooooo hooked.

Yes, I agree.

Personally, I'm just rounding into pre-season form. I'm in an intense posting training camp, and I'm a bit winded.

But do stay tuned for a series of illuminating (and ground-breaking, if not legendary) posts regarding the ultimate nature of Toronto Maple Leafs hockey from myself and my many esteemed colleagues at....

...what's this place called, again?

Well Oct 2nd i'm heading up to Cayuga and catching the Leafs Alumni play. $10.00 a ticket.
Should be a blast i'm taking my daughters.

Got on one of the new subways yesterday on my way home from the Jays game.  Pretty sleek looking and a nice, smooth ride.  Glad to see Toronto's transport system is somewhat catching up with the times.

Pretty awesome night, met the Hanson brothers from the Slap Shot movie, as well as booed Kerry Fraser a lot and even met Trevor Kidd.

They were all playing in a charity hockey game in Winnipeg tonight (battle of the badges), to raise money for the Amedeus Steen Foundation.
