What if the NHL has to cancel the rest of the season?

I can't see any way in which the season isn't over.  If so, at least it's a different flavour of disappointment than we're used to!

On the other hand, with nobody else winning the cup it's the most successful Leafs season in 50 years!

Cup half full...

Maybe the season is over and the playoffs start at an undisclosed time based on current standings? They would have to somehow, for fairness, account for teams that haven?t played the same amount of games..

Im guessing the season becomes cancelled and we won?t see any hockey till next season.

They won't not play the playoffs in case if offends teams that have a borderline legitimate argument that they should have qualified. Too much money at stake. If that does happen, thankfully the Leafs are without question in right now.

They can simply base it on winning percentage if that was the case. Can't argue it. Regular season ends they move on. They may go with just 8 teams qualifying, who knows? If so, the Leafs will be out, so be it. It's only hockey.

The only thing I could think of was take the lowest amount of games played and use every teams stats up to that point.

If Seattle was in the league, I'd say just have all 32 teams make the playoffs - solves everything.  1vs16, 2 vs 15, etc.

Unfortunately, the math doesn't work with 31, or even 30. lol.

If it should happen the season is over, which trade deadline deal ends up being the worst?

That one where the Capitals traded two second round picks for a whole shipping container of uncooked snake meat from Wuhan. Questionable at the time, downright irresponsible now.

Lol, imagine being in charge of programming at TSN or Sportsnet right now, or doing a 3 hour daily show on sports radio for the next month.

You mean you aren't interested in Carlo Colaiacovo's take on COVID-19?

This made me literally laugh out loud.

Decent hockey player and now an expert on everything. I like the guy but he can be a little over the top when it comes to his criticism of the Leafs. I don't recall him being a guy who was always on giving 100% and doing all the right things.

That's kinda hard to judge, since he was so rarely healthy as a Leaf (and in general). I don't recall there ever being any real questions about his effort, "doing the right things," or anything like that. With him, the questions were always about durability.

I sure am.

Also Bob and Duthie's take.

What's Friedman got to say about the outbreak?  Tim and Sid can talk about the NASCAR race that's still on the schedu....oh wait, nevermind...how about they break down Love is Blind's Jessica's dramatic moments?

I'm thinking that a lot of these outlets need to switch to a Mostly Mozart format for the duration of the Sports Famine.
