Well do we see Barabanov get another shot or do they dip to the Marlies and grab Robertson? Let's hope it remains negative.

I'd leave Robertson there, though if you were going to bring him up, a second line spot would be the right situation I'd think.

Barabanov wasn?t that bad last night. If someone else gets a shot, I?d love to see Anderson get another look in the bottom six.

Really good to hear Nylander has tested negative. Sucks he?ll remain out for the 7 days but I guess it could have been a lot worse...

So why is he sitting out that long if he tested negative? I guess to make sure he doesn't develop symptoms later on?

Found out the long and hard way. 10 Days out from your first sign of symptoms if you test positive. 14 days out from contact with someone who has tested positive if you test negative.

Count me in the anti-Nylander camp. I'm not a stats guy, so this is all anecdotal. I've been paying particular attention to his recent play, and I see a player who's only engaged when he's on the rush. Little if any attempt to back-check, just parks himself at the blue line waiting for a pass so he can go on one of his famous rushes that nine times out of ten result in a giveaway because he won't make a pass. Too often when he does pass (usually in the neutral zone) it results in another brutal giveaway, several of which have resulted in goals against. Won't check, won't go into any high-risk high-reward areas (x2 in the playoffs). He's one of those super-skilled but selfish players in the Berezin/Kotalik mold who doesn't score near enough (on par with Hyman) to justify his $6.9 million cap hit. I'd like to see him and his overpriced contract traded asap. Think what the Leafs could do with that $$.

6.9M should get you a pretty good 30+-goal winger/centre who can handle top-six min and generate lots of PP. That would be an amazing add for our top 2 centres.

Now I'm thinking of what Jim Benning could do with 6.9M and it's very nice to have 1.2 4th liners.

I really am amazed at how consistently awful the takes are at describing Nylander.

I think I?m going to start doing my own.

Matthews is stupid and dumb.  9 times out of 10 he just tries to shoot the puck and 85% of the time it doesn?t go in.

Cool story. Thanks for sharing.
