Unless stated otherwise, it's always Phaneuf's fault.

Wasn't on the ice for any goals against today that I saw. Helped setup a goal with a nice pass to spring a forward (I don't know if he got an assist on that or not but his play was key). Leads his team in tournament +/- with a +8. I don't think many fingers of blame will point his way.
It seems as if Getzlaf is blaming the refs too, they did the right thing, it was a clear knee hit. On a side note, good luck tonightdrummond said:What a stinker. The loss may happen anytime what bothers me though was the mental approach of Canadians to that game. Like the Leafs, they simply did not show-up. And the Getzlaf knee? I am surprised that Chara did not beat a crap out of him.

Haven't the Oilers brass been criticized in the past for using Team Canada as some kind of grooming ground for their young players?
I think that Czech Republic played pretty well against Germany. And we do have issues with the goaltending and the defence. I'm not really sure where we stand, but looking at each roster I think that we should win, and I agree that you do lack a leader. You used to have the Kaberle-brothers, Jagr etc.drummond said:Stebro said:It seems as if Getzlaf is blaming the refs too, they did the right thing, it was a clear knee hit. Stebro, it is going to be an easy win for team Sweden, this Czech team does not have the spirit, lacks an inspiring leader, does not have respected coach and only advanced thanks to several lucky bounces.
Many of our adversaries are often saying that our first line is the Luck-Fluke-Jagr line. Sometimes I find it quite a fitting. Just luck does not make it for us against these Swedes.
To be honest I think that he is completely correct about one thing, which is:Bonsixx said:An interesting take:
