Grundstrom's shot faked out the camera guy too.

Grundstrom with some discipline issues. Hart might be a bit wonky after getting his leg bent like that.

Win or lose, Canada has dominated the game up to this point. I'm pleasantly surprised; Sweden was the class of the tournament I thought.

Canada is really aggressive. Pays off with the empty.

Today, I learned that Kylington is apparently pronounced Shillington?

We rule man.

Glad to see they can hold a lead and capitalize on an empty net, unlike our team.

Today I also learned that barney_rebel says other things!

Team Canada plays a very 'Canadian' game -- plenty of strong forechecking and plenty of offensive presence -- and rallies to beat Team Sweden 5-3, thus ensuring itself of a Gold Medal game appearance.

With Canadian goaltender Connor Ingram pulled in the first period, with Sweden leading 2-1, and Carter Hart in his place, Team Canada began it's dominance in earnest, as Canada not only tied the game but there ok the lead and kept it going, backed up by a very coonfident-looking Hart.

Gauthier with two, Stephens, Cirelli and Strome were the Canadian scorers.

Sweden had contributions from Gundstrom and Erikkson-Ek.

Team Canada goaltender Carter Hart was named game MVP.  In fact, Hart may have made the save of the game, when in the second period and with Canada ahead, he orevented the puck from rolling past the goalline, stopping it just in the nick of time.  Whew!  If Sweden had scored...

Other WJHC results:

Team USA, on Troy Terry's shootout winner, defeated Team Russia 4-3, and a Gold Medal game tilt against Team Canada.

A very thrilling Semi-Final Game complete with end-to-end offense, these two teams kept exchanging goals until the final OT buzzer.  Thanks to Terry, (that was his third shootout goal of the shootout), were the Americans finally able to write Russia out. Yes, that's the type of game it was.
