Zach Hyman Suspended 2 Games

I think that "toughness" is largely overrated term in the traditional sense, but I'll admit that I'd really like to see Wayne Simmonds as a rental at season's end if he's healthy.

But I doubt that Yale's Skull and Bones society would let it happen.

Sorry, I was raised Italian, and my dad, rest in peace taught me there's corruption anywhere where lots of money is at stake. It's the Italian way.

I'm sorry to break it to you Zee, but Italians don't have a monopoly on corruption, regardless of what your dad taught you.

Again, how is there "lots of money at stake" in somehow directing officials to take it easier on the one particular team they also penalize more than any other?

I think Lucic's is worse, but let's just assume they're equal. If you go back to the discussion between Nik and I, I think we agree that this type of hit is what needs to be out of the game. Ignore what the letter of the rules say: what's the intent here? Lucic is fully intending on laying out as much damage as possible.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with Lucic's hit. The player was facing him and it wasn't too late. Hyman's was from the side, against the boards and very late. Again, Bobby Mac says the determining factor in a late hit is that .6 of a second is fine, .7 is late.
Same goes for the Reaves hit on Wilson. Away from the boards and not past the .6 time.
Anybody see Kronwall smoke Lee last night?

What a beauty hit and clean in my eyes. Lee was bent over.
Funny thing they were mentioning maybe the Leafs go after him for a 3rd pairing guy for the playoffs. Just the kind of guy they need on the backend.

I disagree. Lucic's (and Hyman's for that matter) are hit intent on hurting someone. They have nothing to do with the actual game -- assuming the aim is to score and prevent goals.

We perfected it though.
