TML fan said:They should be sending Romero to the minors and putting Happ in the rotation.
Potvin29 said:I think they want to see what they have in Romero in the majors before making a move with him, since they've got more invested in him.
Sarrrge said:He got rocked by the Pirates Class A-team today BTW.
Potvin29 said:Worth noting Romero's 2011 Spring Training ERA was 7.91 and he went on to have a 2.92 ERA in the regular season?
Sarrrge said:There's some chatter that he should get a small chance with the Jays to start but if it's me and with what's invested in this team, he wouldn't get it. Like I said, I'd start him in A ball.

In what year? His regular season ERA last year couldn't have been 2.92. Is that career?

See above.

No, not worth noting at all, imo. Romero has a 6 era last year and couldn't throw a strike. He has not just been destroyed this ST, but he still can't throw strikes and his velocity is down. A single A team knocked him around in 2 and 1/3 innings, where he walked 5. He is a complete mess right now; it's nothing like 2011 ST (where he was coming off a season with a sub 4 era).

Not really. This time it's obvious there's a bunch of thing wrong with him. I think a complete reboot is in order.
