This David Pastrnak kid is playing amazing hockey for the Bruins since being called up. 25th overall in the Willie Nylander draft.

Incredible how his parents could screw him like that, all the while the young Johnson lad was all-entrusting.  Just wow.

Really interesting piece from Logan Couture on elite center's in the NHL: http://www.theplayerstribune.com/best-centers-in-the-nhl/

Enjoyed reading this... and precise analysis by Couture.

(Sigh) Do the Leafs have any of them?!  :(

I have been a proponent of the Coyotes staying the desert but this year is looking really bad.  A bad team combined with price increases and parking charges while benefits are cut will make this the worst season for attendance I've seen in last 4 or 5 years.  I think the team tried to do too much too quickly with ticket prices and STH benefits and it's about to backfire.

I'm getting to watch a little bit of Coyotes-Sharks right now on the Coyotes broadcast and did you guys know that tickets are available for upcoming Coyotes games? They sure are. We can take advantage of their K-98 promotion and get two lower bowl tickets and two t-shirts for 98 dollars. Or, if we're a large group, the Coyotes offer special discounts to groups to 10 or more. Heck, we can even buy tickets with our phones via text message.

I mean, I don't mean to rub it in but it's pretty relentless. They have Tyson Nash reading promos for tickets during stoppages, their commercials are for their tickets, they have on screen graphics next to the Fox Box giving us the number to buy tickets...I don't know how long the Coyotes are for Arizona.

Just wait until 16/17 when they have McDavid and Arizona's own Auston Matthews.

It's only partially about the team.  They had a great STH program that appealed to snowbirds with things like free parking, free trading tickets, minimum resale price on ticketexchange, and so on that they got rid of.  When you combine these with a 25% price increase and $15 parking it's gets to be too much money for the hassle if you can't attend all games.  Maybe it will work but I know I gave up my seats this year and don't regret it.

This All-Star draft is actually entertaining.  Half the players are pretty much drunk.  Kessel just got traded from Team Toews to Team Foligno for Seguin.

Toews after picking Kessel first "we know you are the most coachable player here" lol nice troll job on Toronto!
