2020-2021 Toronto Maple Leafs General Discussion

No harm getting in NHL practice and skills work. The guys moving around have the best shot at being NHL reinforcements if injuries spiral out, so it'd be good to see how they play alongside the regulars and work on potential fit.

LD: Marincin, Rubins
RD: Liljegren, Hollowell
4th line: Petan, Agostino, Sabourin, Anderson, Brooks

Depending on how the deadline shakes out, I wouldn't be surprised to see Rourke Chartier signed to league min and made an option as well.

Jack goes into a bit of detail (not directly) about something I'm seeing the Leafs defenders doing a lot more of this year: inviting forecheck pressure to make space for your partner/winger with a short high percentage outlet.

Last I saw, Alex Nylander, who was drafted in the same slot a couple years later, has trouble doing this drill without leaning too far back on his heels, severely limiting his ability to make plays inside movement.

I can do that.

Are you sure you are not watching it at 1/4 speed?

I'm expecting a big week for Leafs. Play Sens and Oilers and both teams are on second half of back to back when they face the Leafs.
Yeah about that Oilers back to back, cancel that

Who did it better, Nylander or Gabby (0:54 into clip):

Um.  Amazing.  This is why the world has dogs.

I mean, maybe this wasn't done on purpose but the dog was jumping all over the place at the end and is super happy and the owner just shoved him at 1:07 lol.

It would be 17 days off if Andersen plays the 2nd half of the back to back against Calgary on April 5th.

The Leafs play 6 games from now until that game but they are every other day so if Campbell is healthy this is a big opportunity to see if he can handle the #1 starter load.

It certainly is. The team's success aside, you can't help but cheer for Campbell. May be one of the most likeable Leafs in the last couple years (sorry herman).
