Tough time for any Canadian player who was on the junior team thinking of taking leave for any non-London related reasons.
 
So Dube, Hart, McLeod, Foote and Formenton...I hope that justice is served. 

As some of you know I work with marginalized and addicts in Moncton and I have seem women dealing with horrible PTSD after an incident and I have seen men falsely accused but treated like criminals because of the charges against them.

All the other cases paid off with our children's membership fees via a "slush fund"... just the tip of the iceberg. Hockey Canada has to help the boys in their programs to become respectable men. This is ugly.

If he doesn?t raise his elbow like that, the hit would have been equally effective and much less dangerous. Just stupid and careless.

Hope they send a message with a lengthy suspension.

Wut. I was initially thinking 20 games. Exactly the type of hit the NHL is trying to get out of the league.

This league only pretends to care about player safety.

I had 41 games (half season) in mind and then quickly realized there are not that many games left.
It would come with a warning - something severe: do it again and you are out of the league. (that may be a little too harsh but something close to it)

With CTE and everything we are learning about head injuries, this behavior cannot be tolerated.
The league opens itself up to a big lawsuit down the road if they don't do it.
