I have Kokko as our 7th D man while Timmins is out. Don't like Benoit's game at all.

I like Bogo a lot but after watching the Amazon Prime series on the Leafs it didn?t seem like a great fit for him. I think that ship has sailed even though he is the style of D I want to add.

Canada and the covid protocol made it rough on him because he was away from his family. That's why he didn't want to play here. He lived with Marner and the 2 are pretty close so I don't think he'd have an issue coming back to the Leafs.

With Holmberg & Robertson Marlies bound, unless the Nylander experiment at center is to continue or something pops via waivers/trade, Minten looks like he's made the team ...

I'm guessing McMann not on waivers means he's going on LTIR.

I agree. Doesn't make sense. Even if McMann goes on LTIR, they might not be able to handle Cowan @ $0.936 mil (its very close ..)

As well, Cowan needs to play. Where is he going to play?
 
Cowan and Kokkonen are likely just still be on the roster for cap reasons. Their higher than minimum AAVs would get them closer to the maximum ceiling total to max out the LTIR benefits for the season.
 
Cap shenanigans and a reward for a young player who had a good camp but had a bit of a surprise draft position.  He'll go down once the cap locks in.

For this reason we probably won't see Gregor officially sign his contract until tomorrow night when the team locks that ACSL down. But it's obvious that's coming.
