Again...you've got a fragile goalie in there, you _know_ it, and you still  make "defensive" plays like that last one.
 
I do think there is something to the point that this team, more than some others, feeds defensively off the goalie's demeanor.  I think you can trace that to the fact that they have never had a star #1 defenseman who is a rock since ... Salming?

Even playing road hockey as kids, we knew not to have 3 guys chase 1 behind our own net. Yeah, would be great to get a save there but...that just can't happen.

4 goals on 11 shots. Not all of them were guaranteed goals. A save can be made once in a while.

I don't think anybody is arguing that point and he made a beauty on the McCabe giveaway but the team as a while have been awful defensively this season. The 4th goal was a prime example of guys not doing their jobs.
 
So what do they do...third period, I don't think I'd put Jones in. But I think they have to start thinking about getting another goalie, maybe Hildeby gets a shot?
