One problem we have here is that Matthews is having to exert himself like Superman to try to get points out of a bad team in December.

Whatever the outcome this game at least pushes management to the brink of having to do something.  The only option I see is Hildeby.

MLSE needs to wake up and clean out this whole management team. Said it many times Shanahan needed to go. Keefe can follow. Tre gets a pass he hasn't been here long and has been dealt what Dubas left. Just goes to show you they don't give a rats ass about winning just making money.

Yep.

Team defense continues to be a problem but with Samsonov, it seems like every decent chance is nearly certain to wind up in the net. I can't see him starting another game.

I beg to differ with this team.
 
He can't play again.  I don't care who you call up, this is unacceptable.  He is not an NHL goaltender (right now)
 
Simpson praising Nylander for getting back. If you go back 10 seconds you can see Nylander's lazy ass coasting then deciding to get going. If he's skating hard there is no 2 on 1.
