I honestly deep down wouldn't mind this team tanking. Get us a good draft as our prospects suck. We ain't winning f all with what we got and it's not all on Samsonov. The team has faltered, struggles against s**t teams, still hasn't learnt how to put teams away etc etc. Change management, change the core and take a different approach on how to build a winning team. This recipe isn't a winning formula.

Oh its definitely between the ears...he has no confidence and is thinking too much. Goalies can't be thinking when playing. Same as players, just play.

He wanted 10 or more and is having a great season and probably boosted up his price. I wouldn't pay him that either. I thought his play has improved earlier in the year but now I'm seeing some of the old lazy, soft Willy. If we pay him anymore than 10 management is stupid and Marner shouldn't be seeing much more either. They were paid handsomely years ago all of them. Time to play hardball with these stars if they don't like it ship them off and get some quality returns and build a different team.

As much as I want to give more rope to Keefe despite never really liking him, at some point soon he has to be looked at when the team is pissing up leads, and ultimately points, to far inferior teams repeatedly.

Obviously different career trajectories and Sammy had more NHL success recently but a tiny salary payout let Jones pass through waivers.  Sammy's 3+ million cap hit is easily getting through.  I'm still so leery of rushing Hildeby but if we know he's going to get a set number of games I'm tempted to just let it happen.

Im with you. I'd run Jones and bring up Petruzzelli. If Jones craps the bed then you bring him up.
