It's not horrible. I'm ok with it. Would have preferred the 3.25 to 3.5 mil range and maybe 4 yrs but it's not bad.

He's as overpaid as Grabbo was, but everything's shifted down $1.25m, which great. We've got room to sign Scuderi or Ference.

Uh.... I think you should check the news.

Yes, it's an overpayment but it's not as bad as the 8 yr @ 5+ mil rumours that were floating around.

And as #1PF said - Ference is gone. Signed with Edmonton.

Not a bad deal by any means.

Weiss might be a bit better, but Bozak's 3 years younger than Weiss.

So I consider Bozak at 5 years a lot better than Weiss @ 5.

Smart choice by Bozak. I have a feeling this'll work out.

Deal is a little high.  I would have kept Grabs if one of the two had to go, but none of the UFA centers excited me enough to regret re-signing Bozak.

Oh. Well, right you are. At least we got something just as valuable to a winning team. Ryan Malone worked out all right, right?

Yes, and Gary Roberts sure was a flop, wasn't he?  34 years old, three of the next four seasons included 29, 21, and 28 goals.

Hey, I like selectively analyzing, too!  This is fun!

Right, right. I forgot -- we've got the second coming of Wendell Clark.

I would have offered him the same deal the Flames offered Stajan (and came to regret within a week)......4 years 14 million.

Me too.  Although I can live with this.  It's not a bad deal.

I just hope Nonis isn't complacent in thinking that he doesn't have to still search for another #1 centre.  As much as Kessel likes him and he can do a decent job playing with Kessel, he's not the answer.

And Gary Roberts was .74 ppg, .4 gpg player.

Which one?  1985 Wendel?  1996 Wendel?  Or 2000 Wendel?

I'm hoping for 1993-94 Wendel for 7 straight seasons.

This should all probably be in the Clarkson thread, but you might as well hope that he's the next Mats Sundin.

Turns out the Ryan Malone dig was actually unfair to Ryan Malone's production. My apologies to Ryan Malone.

I'm ok with this deal. I think Bozak's a good player. Not sure what role he slots into. I'll be sad if it's the same role he played last year.

Nonis just said it wasn't Bozak or Grabovski, but that Bozak "plays more minutes."

Yeah, because your coach plays him that many minutes.
