As much as I like that they're winning games, I can only recall 1 game where the win was convincing.

That could just be my short memory though....

Tampa, Calgary (despite the third), both 4-1 wins against Detroit were pretty good games I thought.

The SO win against the wings and the Washington game were pretty bad and the other wins weren't great but I don't think they were terrible either. The shots got a little out of hand against Vancouver, after the score went to 4-1, but when it got 4-2, they tightened up again.

I could be wrong though, It's just how I remember them.

As much as I couldn't be happier with the winning streak I'm not planning the parade. Seems to be more hustle, better fore checking more effort etc but I still see a lot of the same things we saw against Boston in the playoffs. One question I have for all of you and this coincides with the blown lead against the Bruins. How confident are you when we have a lead or better yet what kind of lead are you comfortable with late in a game? I myself don't feel a 2-3 goal lead in the third period per say is safe and that is due to the way they play and have for a long time and that is too loose.

I'm there myself in terms of the lack of comfort, but they have been great at closing out opponents (at least from a winning the game perspective) this season. They've won 100% of games where they've scored first (1st in the league), 90% of games going into the second with a lead (4th in the league) and 100% of games going into the third with a lead (1st again, obviously).

Booth.... About time dude.

He's been doing good work since his return. This one was flukey, but well earned nonetheless.

Oh Kadri. That is a beautiful drag and pull.

That ugly 3rd goal gave the Leafs a little jump, and hopefully enough offence to put this one away. Not a well played game, by any means, though.

Looks like we win this but this game is still a case in point for being skeptical that the Leafs "have turned the corner," "are the real deal," or what have you.

At the same time.  There were precisely 0 games in the last two years where you could get a goal from 4 different lines.  The team is still really flawed but there are aspects of the team that are infinitely better than last year.

If Kadri brings a bit more of THAT to his much improved defensive game he could be something pretty awesome

Well, the bottom 6 being a for-sure.  And don't get me wrong, I have to hand it to everyone from Carlyle on down, this is the best stretch of hockey from this club since they got points in 16 straight lo those many years ago.

As much as everyone wants Kadri on the first line IMO the should keep where he is that way scoring is spread out

Yeah, I thought so too, I didn't think it was that brutal on the goalies part, it bounced in off his dman, no?

Kadri, what a game for him.
