I think Gunnar deserves a few more games to shake off any potential rust. Sitting Gunnarsson for Gardiner isn't as easy as it may sound though. The Leafs likely aren't going to go with 3 defencemen in the pressbox and 9 of them on the roster.
They key is Komisarek, can he be waived ?
Beacuse the other option for waiver is Holzer, and he is playing good.

Liles may be in the lineup too, he was not getting the points but wasn't playing bad.

Need to ramp up the physicality with these Senators, we have about five guys who could knock Neil clean out if he wants to get upset about it.

See how much the Sens want to play when they are being bullied everytime they touch the puck.

Hopefully the punishment and non-calls will piss Kessel off enough that he starts to dominate.

Komi has a NMC so he isn't going anywhere.

Unless he's asked to waive it. If he understands he's going to sit almost all the time he might.  Now of course, that assumes anyone would trade for him, not as a waiver.  Improbable.

I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that our MVP so far this year has been none other than Jay McClement.  Bowen and Ralph were just reciting the stats: McClement is #1 in the NHL in PK icetime, and the Leafs are 16th in the league in PK percentage, instead of 27/28/29/30 or whatever it was the last few seasons.  That is absolutely huge.

Of course others deserve credit for the better PK too.  But McClement is the glue.

Thought he was implying that he would waive Komi and send him to the Marlies which I am certain Komi would not agree to.  I am sure if he had a chance to be traded to a place where he would actually play he may.  However, maybe he is thinking, they are going to buy me out so I may want to stick around collect the Leaf salary next year and also collect the extra salary on a team that would sign him as a UFA to a small contract.

open up game right now...

Bishop does give a lot of rebounds and no wing in position to take advantage of it.
