Game 24: Toronto Maple Leafs @ Anaheim Ducks W5-2

Hey and Gus now has a .901 SV%

Perfect. That's pretty much what you want from your backup. Took a while to get there but like I alluded to earlier, thank the baby Jesus we scored in bunches along the way.

Since his first game against Boston where he got lit up, what do Gus' numbers look like?  I remember Nik posted them last week and they were pretty good (.912 SV% in 8 games) I would guess they have to be a little better now?

The Ducks are now 2-12-4 in their last 18 after starting the season 4-1-0. They're not just slumping, they're in a full on tailspin free fall. Carlyle will almost certainly be the next coach fired. Possibly as early as tomorrow. They're only ahead of Columbus by virtue of having an extra OTL. The Jackets actually have more ROWs.

Boudreau for Carlyle?  ;D

Oh, hey, Bobby Ryan is playing tonight.

I'm giving Schenn my MotM tonight.  He stood Ryan up, Getzlaf up, and neutralized them for most of the night.

EDIT: And snipes one!!!!!

Me too, Schenn is definitely finding his game.

I just caught the last period, punctuated by Aulie's horrible play on Perry's goal.  I really liked what I saw from Gardiner.  Good thing we've won 3 straight - next 2 games against our nemesis.

I really wish Phil would just light it up against them to get that monkey off his back.

He had two goals against them in one of the games last season.

Kessel goes a game without scoring any points and he has a monkey on his back?  Give the guy a break, he even got an assist this game.

Yeah, maybe I'm just too sensitive to it when I see them play Boston.  It seems like he always droughts whenever I happen to watch.  The Bruins just seem to own us, but I guess they've been owning just about everyone recently.

Thread title reads "W 4-2"

I know recently we've been having trouble with ENGs, so let's count this one we actually got and make it 5-2 ;)

He's referring to his weak play vs the Bruins....
