Game 25: Bruins @ Leafs 7:00PM TSN

Wife and I decided to watch "Horrible Bosses".

As crappy and stupid a movie as it was (and it was), I guess I made the right choice watching it over the game.

Undefeated in regulation in November?  You just have to shut up and respect that level of achievement.  They very nearly were perfect for the month.

6-3 doesn't look very good on the scoresheet...shots in the 3rd don't look good either.  Even though they were one shot or bounce away from tying it the 3rd was simply not good enough and maybe the team just isn't good enough to handle the Boston at the top of their game.

I think that's the thing.  Boston has an extremely good team.  Thomas is still probably the best goaltender in the league, Chara is probably the best defenseman, they arguably have the best set of checking forwards in the league, they now have one of the top offensive players in the game (Seguin) who happens to be one of those really good two-way player kind of guys and they have a bunch of guys who aren't 30-40 goal scorers, but a lot of guys who are solid 20-30 goal scorers.

Thing is it is fun to watch Kessel right now but I still can't help but feel we traded away long term for short term and in the short term Boston is still better so what are we left with.

Yes, hating the Bruins. I find their health, competency and good goal tending irksome. Right now I am very very irked.

Well, I mean, it's just one of those things where we all watch sports, the Leafs in particular, to get that epic reward in the face of doubt. It just seems the Leafs, as a team and certain individual players, typically fail in the games we want to see them win/do well in the most.

One of these days that may not be the case, but it certainly has been for a good while.

Jennifer Aniston was pretty hot in it though ...

They're definitely beatable - the Leafs showed it last season.  But we'll probably never out-duel them in net, and it's going to be tough the way they are playing right now if you don't do that.  Especially if you're not getting PP chances either.

Thought the Leafs played the right way for 40 tonight - limited Boston's offensive zone time, kept the pace of the game up.  Last 20 they sort of got running around again.

An improvement over the previous 2, but they need some way of controlling the defensive zone more consistently, otherwise the Bostons, Pittsburghs, and Phillys will take advantage consistently.

Not meaning this as any kind of insult - but if I had the choice, I could never choose to watch a movie over watching a Leafs game.

Boston would probably be right around the same right now regardless of that deal, IMO.

Short term? Has Kessel mentioned he's retiring soon? He's still only 24 isnt he?

Your right. One was simply awful and gut wrenching to watch and made me want to wretch.

The other had Jennifer Aniston naked under a lab coat.

You didn't watch, you can't comment.

And yes, it is my right.  :)

I'm familiar with their work, particularly against Boston. I think it was a more than adequate sample size to deduce from ;)
