Game 26: Penguins @ Leafs, 7:00pm - CBC, NHLN-US,ROOT-PIT

If I could get a 1st or a 2nd and a good prospect, I think I'd move Mac. I'm not sure where he fits on the LW behind Lupul and JVR.

MacArthur is going to be an interesting decision in the coming days. Keep him for the run and lose him for nothing or deal him?

I think I'd keep him.  I actually would be exploring the option of dealing Kuli instead.  I don't know what's happened, but very rarely do I see the player he can be anymore.  Looks really tentative and unconfident.

He's still solid defensively.

I'll try and find the post on twitter, someone showed how good MacArthur has been scoring-wise considering his ice-time since signing here.

I honestly think he may have the best release on the team.  Kessel's got a hell of a wristshot, but Mac really seems to snipe them at an extremely efficient rate.

He made a blog post about it here for those interested: http://www.pensionplanpuppets.com/2011/11/29/2595033/macarthur-the-elite-scorer

Solid, sure but even defensively, he looks tentative to me.

It's possible I'm magnifying the issue, but I really feel there's been regression in his overall game.

Definitely offensively, but his 30 goal season put expectations way too high, he's really not a 30 goal guy.  I still see him always taking the body, putting in the work ethic, etc.  He's not looking like he'll be a big offensive guy, but he still seems like a guy you want on a team for a different role.

Reimer is amazing to me. Just when you think he's lost his game he starts to shut the door again. He's lucky too. It's as if he has someone from up above on his side. ::)

I think he can pull this one off if he gets help from the forwards.

Excellent piece!

this game has made me angrier than most ..and yet they're still in it ...it amazes me how good the penguins look offensively ....and yet how much trouble they have keeping it out of the back of their net

Mike Kostka is second on the Leafs in ice-time tonight (edging Gunnarsson out by 2 seconds). I thought we put this behind us, Randy.

Yeah, I don't expect 30 again.  That's an  unfortunate benchmark he set.  I think he should have 15-20 in him, though.

I agree he still works hard and does what he's supposed to, I just don't feel like he's doing it with as much...confidence?  I don't know, but he just isn't having the same impact in my eyes.

I still like him as a player, but I'm less adverse to moving him as I once was.
