Rosehill in tonight, lines updated.

I'm glad Orr is on the payroll

Really, does Wilson have a hate on for Orr? Is there something I don't know about? I always thought Orr was the superior pest, more intimidating physically, better at going to the net, and could actually make a play once in a while. Maybe he's still hurt.

As much as I dislike Rosehill, he is faster on his skates than Orr, and that makes him a more effective forechecker. Neither of them are going to get significantly more than 5-6 minutes a night, and with speed being such a significant part of the Leafs' game this season, the choice between the two was fairly obvious - especially with Orr's ability to fight being called into question after suffering a major concussion last season.

Doesn't matter.  Burke should be absolutely embarrassed that he has two goons, who offer nothing to the on ice product, on his payroll.  If I were an owner of an NHL team I would ban my GM from signing any guy whos only role is to maybe fight.

For some reason I'm psyched tonite!  I want to see

utter domination

(and not by the visiting squad)

C'mon boys, let's have a great game!!!!

Seems pretty certain that the Leafs will win. They were all wearing suits as they walked in or whatever that nonsense is that Cherry spews.

... Maybe he's still hurt.

A fighter with a bad concussion like he was reported/alleged to have had last season has to have significant limitations.

Nothing against Reimer, but he better start playing like a #1 soon if Wilson is going to keep starting him like one. Terrific ES save % or not, he hasn't really proved to be a better option than Gus yet.

Can you even imagine goaltending like this?

Goaltending     GP GS Min W L  OTL EGA GA GAA SA SV   SV% SO
Boston
Tim Thomas       22 21 1244 15 5 0 3 38 1.83 663 625 .940 4
Tuukka Rask     11 10 626 6 4 1 0 19 1.82 312 293 .940 1

NYR
Henrik Lundqvist 23 23 1390 12 7 4 3 48 2.07 706 658 .930 2
Martin Biron     8 7 429 6 1 0 0 13 1.82 198 185 .930 1

Trust me those goalie numbers wouldn't look like that behind this team.

This is one of those few games where I agree with Cherry that Zigomanis should be up with the team.  Steckel can't go, so we slop Rosehill into the lineup to do absolutely nothing for four minutes.  At least Zigomanis could win you the odd faceoff to be helpful and who knows, maybe he's better than the current PK stuff (although I think it has far more to do with forward simply not pressuring point shots enough combined with the defense leaving men open in front of the net...not sure how one player fixes fundamental problems)....on that note, I would love for the Leafs to stop giving the inside advantage in front of the net.  Get between them and the goalie because it forces them to not lose their man in front of the net.

I agree 1000% and it's not "Ziggymania". I mean how bad can this guy be?

The Marlies must be on the road otherwise even Wilson should think of this.
