I'm actually starting to like JVR.....
Isn't JVR #21?

The biggest indictment on Burke is the talent level difference between these two teams with unlimited resources ....Rags have soooooo much more talent...sick
all that talent and we're still winning 2-0.
14 shots to 3... We are very very lucky at this point

i'm glad we're up 2-0 ..but god ...i imagine that vanishing in a shift or two next period if this team doesn't do something ..3 shots in the whole period with two powerplays?  this is pathetic so far

JVR had a big period, good play on the PK and then a goal and a blocked shot.

I thought it was a little unfair to Frattin to bench him for the weak penalty that was called on him.

New York blocked a lot of shots.

What's Cherry talking about? Grabovski (and he damn well knows his name) is playing exactly as he did last year and the year before. Orr's presence isn't magically making Grabovski play with swagger and absent fear.

Essentially, if we don't agree with Cherry, we just don't understand.

Shots are misleading. Not like the Leafs were hemmed in their own zone all period.  Rangers must have blocked a good 8-9 shots.

it was a weird period to pick out as the leafs playing better anyway

I'd accuse Cherry of engaging in post hoc ergo propter hoc but I know how he hates all that Russian talk.

Gabarovski forever!

yeah i'm watching the game ..and no..they weren't hemmed in..but the rangers have done a pretty good job of breaking down the leafs plays ..and have looked pretty good on the transition ....you know how they always say that 2-0 lead is one of the more dangerous leads in hockey?  ..this seems like the perfect example of the game where that turns out to be the case...

I do agree with him about the faceoffs. It's ridiculous how many times they throw out players on the faceoff.

Certainly the play was not indicative of a 14-3 shot advantage.  Leafs were good, capitalized on chances and Reimer made some saves.  Alright by me.

The fights entertained me. The goals entertained me. Reimer's saves entertained me.

What else can I ask for?

More shots on net maybe...
