Game 50: Leafs @ Pens, 7:00pm

Looking on the bright side, there's been so many squandered points already that we probably won't even remember this game in the summer.

I hate to say it but how can a team that loses like this make the playoffs...again maybe I watch too much leafs and 10-minute 3-goal collapses are the norm

Let's not read too much into this one, as disgusting as ending was.  Getting a point on the road is usually considered a decent result.

But it's imperative that they beat these clowns tomorrow.

If I'm Wilson I put Reimer in net and challenge him to play his best game of the year.

each year some pretty bad teams make the playoffs ...i don't see why the leafs can't be one of them

Kessel has sucked for a while, getting cheap assists and barely staying in the scoring race.  I still love how they killed off the final 3 minutes perfectly and then boom, one quick shoot and a bounce.  oh and good thing we had a dissallowed goal too.

So how many teams went to OT and screwed us back?

Hard pill to swallow, weak shoot out attempts.  Going wide and with no speed, was waiting for Kessel to pull out the short goalie stick there.  Where did Kadri's quick hands on the shootout go.  Sick here...

then i think you'll be looking at their second loss in a row.... at least we get liles back tomorrow..should help the powerplay

Yeah I think the Sens had a similar experience tonight, without the point.

Well, I mean, it's something. All was not lost tonight. Leafs got a point. Other such platitudes.

I mean, at the end of the day, those uniforms are still pretty sharp.

Those were some pitiful shootout attempts.  Somehow we're back to being that team who can't play with the lead.  I don't like being that team.

i'm not sure that's really the case...after all this is only their first loss when leading after 2 ...it's too bad it happened in spectacularly depressing fashion..but over all ...i think it's been trending the other way

Nah, you need to go with Reimer at some point.  They have way too many games packed close together coming up.

My main point is that in a weird game like this you don't magnify its importance.  It's a young team and they are playing well for the most part....

What did Busta say?  Other such platitudes.

I concur. Face it, that last goal off Malkin's chest was a ridiculous fluke. Was it Grabo that didn't get that final puck deep in the neutral zone? If so, tainted an otherwise great night.
Reimer might not be a bad gamble, though I would  keep him on a short lease. Time for Kessel to break out at home.
Think Lupul should have been used in shoot-out.
