Not necessarily, although I don't really see how describing Rynnas as a career AHLer makes a ton of sense, but I think the argument for resting Scrivens has as much to do with the game against Buffalo, where it'll be his 5th game in 8 nights, as it would the game against Tampa Bay. There's a reason goalies typically don't play 80+ games in a season and it's because they need nights off.
I get what you're saying but he's not going to be playing a full season at this rate. They riding him like no tomorrow because they know he's the Leafs best shot at wins while Reimer is injured for another week or two. I believe Rynnas would've played in the TB game if they were confident he could give them a chance to win - they probably thought riding the hot hand made the most sense - the bounces were clearly going his way the last few games and they hoped it would continue. He does need a rest though, but I can see why they used Scrivens against a strong offensive team - I'd shelter Rynnas against a team like Florida or Columbus, not against one of the stronger offensive teams in the league.
