What did Giggy sign for in Colorado?
$1.25M

Why didn't Burke want to keep him around again?

With the virtual cornucopia of young goalies in his system, why would he?

Also Giggy was almost Connolly-esque with his 'lower body' problems.

You can say it, he had problems in the junk area.

Yeah I can't blame Burke for not re-signing Giguere.  His recurring groin problems were starting to get comical.  Maybe he'll be ok as a backup, but if he takes on any more of a heavy workload he's apt to re-injure that thing again and we're right back where we started.  It was a risk, I guess it looks bad on the Leafs now.

I always thought he came across as a little testy

I agree, it's like he could never gro-in to his position in Toronto.

This is getting out of hand, lol.

Too late, his legacy has already been taint-ed

Good point.

So far it's worked out great too.

Guess he didn't foresee a cheap head shot by a mtl player.  Also he was very optimistic of the Monster.  As such, I can understand why Burke did what he did.

Any guesses on what kind of prospect it would take for the Isles to flip us Nabakov?

I heard that their price is a 2nd round pick, but I would consider that off limits for now.

Seems high, especially when a reasonable replacement - Marty Turco - could be had for nothing.

Turco's had bad numbers for a couple of years. At least Nabokov looks like he has something left in the tank.

I like seeing that Scrivens has a bit of an agressive streak in him. I like him coming out of the net and challenging shooters (both in the game and the shootout), I like that slapping stick sweep he pulled earlier in the game around his net and I like the take down late in OT.
