Leafs @ Bruins - Jan. 14th, 7:00pm - SN, SN 590

Holland back up, PP defenceman changed up, McClement to the 4th line. Holy sheep s**t starting to think maybe Nonis or Carlyle might be reading these game day threads. LOL. Good night everyone.

Here would be an awesome job for a coach to call a timeout.  Bring everyone to the bench and say something to try and settle them down.

The twit didn't do it in the SC playoffs. Why would he do it now..... >:(

Because, reasons?

Because if he didn't think the situation warranted it in Game 7 of the playoffs why would he think it important enough in a regular season game. Obviously tongue in cheek but really?

I have little doubt that if Reimer was in net and had let in a tying goal there the knives would be out and he'd be crucified.

My gut it telling me Reimer is going home to Winterpeg for someone like Sheifelee we may need to throw in a pick on this one.

Good game. I thought it was going to be a blow after the first goal. Bozak JVR and Kessel played a excellent game. Sorry to say this but something has to happen to Kadri. He was awful and it began to rub off on Lup's . Clarkson Kuli and Holland were excellent. That was what I expected from Clarkson from the season start. And Gleason need I say more. Thank you Mr Bernier.

It certainly wouldn't have been good.  That being said, Bernier also got very lucky with a few pucks going off the post, rolling wide of the puck when he wasn't in a position to make a save if the puck had been headed toward the net.  He was a bit scrambly there in the final few minutes.

I dozed off for a bit near the end, but I'm pretty sure the NESN crew didn't mention the unmentionable once during the entire broadcast. Kudos to them.

No, no. I got it. My response was equally tongue in cheek.

Have the advanced stats guys weighed in on whether we can be happy with this win? Because I'm like halfway there.

Oh...my sarcasm/defeatist meter is on the fritz!  :)

Bias aside, I am probably the only one who thinks the hit on JVR wasn't that great or such a hard hit. The hit on Kulemin was a hard open ice hit.

My internet died so I just finished it now - the amount of non-calls in the last few minutes was INSANE.  Holy, I can't even believe that, even with the low opinion I have of the refs to begin with.

The Team Success Happiness Quotient measures 52.3% tonight, which means that happiness is indeed permitted.

Best game the Leafs have played in a long time! After last years playoff collapse against Boston it was really nice to stick it to them tonight.

Highlights for me: Bozak's 2nd goal where he snuck in behind the D and had a wide open net, getting under Chara's skin multiple times, and Tim Gleason blocking 2 shots in the final minute.

All in all a fun game to watch!
