McElhinney and Pickard both claimed off waivers

Wow! All time eh? this is the problem with people that think the NHL started in the 80s. Sawchuk, Hall, etc. not even goalies that they're aware of. Might want to look up George Hainsworth while you're at it.

I understand that everybody will have a bit of bias toward the players that they spent more time actually watching, so as a 29-year old I'm naturally going to gravitate toward those 3. But this isn't exactly some hot take from a millennial. Ken Campbell's list of the top-100 players of all-time that Nik posted supports it too. He has Hasek 4th, Roy 12th, Brodeur 14th, and Sawchuk 17th.

Personally, I rank the big 90's goalies as:

1. Hasek
2. Roy
3. Belfour
4. Brodeur
5. Cujo

And, honestly, I think the biggest gap there is between 1 and 2 and then 3 and 4. Brodeur was just Cujo with better defenses.

Might see one or both of these guys back on waivers soon.

Are you saying McBackup might be McBack?

I wonder how the waivers system actually works...like do they get an email with 2 boxes, "yes" "no"?  Is it part of an NHL internal website system for teams to just log-in and click on players and move them around like on capfriendly?

Like a red box shows up with a big warning saying "Are you sure you want to acquire Curtis McElhinney"?

Knowing this league, it's probably done by fax.

Pretty sure it's all done by ravens.

Dubas: "Pridham! Send a raven to North Carolina! We are reclaiming McElhinney as one of our own!"
Pridham: "At once Sire!"

This made me laugh.

Ed Belfour is the best goalie of all time. CuJo 2nd.

Pogge 3rd.

Cujo over Eddie. Fight me.

I will not fight you as I respect your opinion and can indeed see why the argument could be made that way.
