Should be interesting to see what kind of response Spezza gets from the faithful tonight. I hope he doesn't take too much flack because as polarizing as he was when he was a Sen he was a big part of some dream seasons including that magical Cup run in '07. Maybe using this for his video montage would help take the edge off of the situation...anyone know if Anonymous takes requests?
In all seriousness my favourite Spezza moment was 2003 Conference Finals Game 5 against the Devils...(the "Spezza rides the bus" season)

Yeah that's about what I expected from Garrioch / The Sun clowns. I guess that's a play on the busted beak Spezza suffered in Montreal a couple of nights ago?
 
Something interesting that Jeff Marek said a little while ago that came across as A) really odd but but B)  probably true is that apparently it's fairly widely believed that within the Senators organization even if they're out of the playoff race there's still a certain Owner/Amateur Criminologist who really cares about finishing higher than the Leafs and, as a result, will probably influence what they do at the deadline accordingly.

Sounds like something someone with direct ties to the Leafs would say yeah. Did it make you feel better about being a Leaf fan?

If Murray can get Neil to acquiesce on his no-trade stance he'll probably be the most sought after playoff rental player available.

Neil is so much teh suck that I'm genuinely excited about the bidding war that's going to break out for him at the trade deadline.

I look forward to Neil refusing to waive that NTC, so,when his contract expires after next season, he can retire having played his entire career in Ottawa.
