We need to get this guy onto the Marlies asap.  Sounds like their coach is playing hardball with Amirov.

I hope he has an out clause or can negotiate one, and get on the Marlies like yesterday.
 
Amirov is still very much a kid, playing in a pro mens league (deservedly, albeit fostered by covid circumstances) for his hometown team. As much as I'd like to see him make the jump, I think taking time here to get him ready for that move is the right thing to do. Barring further injury, he might only spend half a season in the AHL after this season and get the Nylander call up (and thus, suppressed second contract).
