Another game changer from American Horror Story this week. They're really just doing a full-on sprint to the end of the season.
I'm getting the feeling the Father will die in the season finale and a new family moves in for season two. Interesting concept if new people move in every season.

I think they can get by one more season with just him alive perhaps. But yeah, that seems to be the way they ought to go.

Spoiler Alert......

Yeesh.

Oh well, I was going to watch it anyways.

Sorry about the spoiler SC.
I just discovered The Wire, HBO show about the Baltimore drug scene. Anyone else watching this ?
I'm only a few episodes in but it captivated me instantly. It reminds me of the movie New Jack City if it was filmed recently.

Yup. I kind of figured we were headed for a shocker, but... yeah.

I'm not sure what to think though. Semi spoiler alert - I think that ending will only play into the whole Deb/Dexter love thing, and because of that, it sucks, but otherwise a crazy ending.

This show fails to disappoint.  Great finale.

I've seen it like 6 times now.

They finally got around to that (happens in the first book).  I wonder if they stall the consequences in a similar manner.

Okay... Dexter... I started watching when it first came out and for whatever reason, stopped watching a short time through season two... Just too much on my plate I guess. My New Year's resolution is to get caught up and yesterday, I plowed through the last 9 episodes of season two. If you recall, season two ended with him killing the English chick.

So, that's where I'm at... 4 seasons, 48 episodes to go (ugh.) I'll be happy if I can get through two episodes a week. Anyway, for those of you who watch the show and who have good memories, I have a few questions as it's been tough to remember what exactly happened in season one and trying to remember the details. So, if I may, here goes a couple questions re the first season;

1. Both Dexter and his biological brother were in the shipping container with their Mom when she got killed, right?

2. While Dexter went to live with Harry and his daughter (Deb), his brother (Rudy) remained with his biological father, correct? Dexter and Deb are not biological siblings, right?

3. Was there anything of significance to Dexter's biological father? Was he a killer like Dexter and Rudy too?

No spoilers, please.  :)

I believe so, yes, though, I'm not 100% positive. It's been a while since I watched that.

Dex and Deb are not biologically related, no, but, I think Rudy ended up in the foster system, not with his bio-dad. I believe their biological mom was a single mother and that they may have had different fathers (though, again, not 100% certain).

I don't believe they've gone into much, if any detail, about Dexter biological father. They certainly haven't targeted him as a cause for Dexter and Rudy's serial killer ways - they've used watching their mother die bloody as the cause there.

It's also possible I'm getting what happened in the books confused with what happened on the show, but, if I remember correctly, they were pretty similar in this case.

Oops... One more piece of info to fill in... Sorry, last question, I promise. I don't recall... Did Dexter actually get to Rita's ex or was he killed in prison?

Paul gets killed in prison.

Beauty... Man, it's tough picking up the pieces after not having watched for a few years... Anyway, season two reminded me why I liked the show so much... I regret not sticking with it. Like I said, I hope to be caught up by or at least during the spring.  8)

Honestly Dexter is starting to get really predictable.  I'm excited for season 7 for reasons I can't say but you will know if you're caught up on Dexter but still season six felt like a bit of a letdown in terms of the quality and predictability.

I think Dexter has really gone downhill from season 5 onwards. Watching Seasons 1-2 compared to now you would think it's a totally different show.

Yeah, that happens with most shows though. I'm still interested enough to keep watching, though. And I think this past season was better than season 5. I had no interest in the whole Julia Stiles thing.
